Refund Policy

1. Overview
Kai Bio Labs is committed to delivering high-quality research-grade peptides. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which returns, exchanges, and refunds are processed. By placing an order with Kai Bio Labs, you acknowledge and agree to this Refund Policy, which forms part of our Terms & Conditions.
All products sold by Kai Bio Labs are intended exclusively for in vitro research, analytical, and educational purposes. This Refund Policy does not create, and shall not be construed to create, any warranty or guarantee regarding the suitability of products for any specific research outcome, application, or result.
2. Eligibility for Returns
Products may be eligible for return if ALL of the following conditions are met:
- The product is in its original, unopened, factory-sealed condition with all tamper-evident seals intact.
- The return request is submitted within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of delivery.
- You provide valid proof of purchase (order confirmation email, invoice, or order number).
- The product has been stored in accordance with the storage conditions specified on the product label or documentation (e.g., temperature requirements).
- You have obtained a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number from our support team prior to shipping the return.
3. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are NOT eligible for return or refund under any circumstances:
- Products that have been opened, unsealed, or had their tamper-evident seals broken.
- Reconstituted products — any product that has been dissolved, diluted, mixed with any solvent, or otherwise prepared for use.
- Custom or special-order products manufactured to buyer specifications.
- Clearance, close-out, or final-sale items (clearly marked at the time of purchase).
- Bacteriostatic (BAC) Water once opened or if the seal has been punctured.
- Products for which the buyer cannot demonstrate proper storage conditions were maintained from the time of delivery to the time of return.
- Any product that has been administered to any human or animal (which would also constitute a violation of our Terms & Conditions and Research Use Agreement).
- Products returned without a valid RMA number.
4. Damaged or Defective Products
If you receive a product that is damaged during shipping or is defective (e.g., broken vial, missing seal, visibly degraded product), you must:
- Report the issue within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery by emailing hello@kai-biolabs.com.
- Provide photographic evidence of the damage or defect, including images of the product, packaging, and shipping label.
- Retain all original packaging materials and the product for inspection.
Upon verification, Kai Bio Labs will, at our sole discretion, either ship a replacement product at no charge or issue a full refund including original shipping costs.
5. Wrong Item Received
If you receive a product that does not match your order, please contact us within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery with your order number and photographs of the received item. We will arrange for the return of the incorrect item at our expense and ship the correct product, or issue a full refund at your election.
6. Return Process
- Request an RMA: Contact us at hello@kai-biolabs.com with your order number, the product(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return. We will issue an RMA number within 2 business days if the return is approved.
- Package the Return: Securely package the product in its original packaging with all included documentation. Write the RMA number clearly on the outside of the package.
- Ship the Return: Ship the package using a trackable shipping method. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (wrong item, defective product). We recommend purchasing shipping insurance.
- Inspection: Upon receipt, our quality team will inspect the returned product to verify eligibility. This process typically takes 3-5 business days.
7. Refund Processing Timeline
Once a return is received and passes inspection:
- Refunds are processed within five to ten (5-10) business days.
- You will receive an email confirmation when the refund has been initiated.
- Depending on your payment provider, it may take an additional 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
8. Refund Method
All refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. We do not issue refunds via alternative payment methods, cash, store credit, or cryptocurrency unless the original payment method is no longer available (in which case store credit may be offered at our discretion).
9. Partial Refunds
Partial refunds may be issued at Kai Bio Labs’ sole discretion in the following circumstances:
- Products returned in a condition that differs from the original condition (e.g., damaged packaging but sealed product).
- Returns initiated after the 30-day return window but within 60 days, at our discretion.
- Products where only a portion of a multi-item order is being returned.
10. Shipping Costs
Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error on our part (wrong item shipped, defective product). Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless we provide a prepaid return label (at our discretion for verified damage/defect claims). Any duties, taxes, or customs fees incurred on return shipments are the buyer’s responsibility.
11. International Returns
For international returns, the buyer is solely responsible for:
- All return shipping costs, including international postage and insurance.
- Any customs duties, taxes, or fees assessed on the return shipment.
- Compliance with all export and import regulations applicable to the return shipment.
- Any delay or loss during international return transit.
We strongly recommend using a trackable and insured shipping method for all international returns.
12. Chargebacks & Disputes
We strongly encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card company. We are committed to resolving issues promptly and fairly.
If a chargeback is initiated without first attempting to resolve the issue with Kai Bio Labs:
- Your account may be immediately suspended pending resolution.
- We reserve the right to contest the chargeback and provide all relevant documentation to the payment processor.
- Accounts associated with fraudulent or unjustified chargebacks may be permanently terminated.
- We reserve the right to pursue collection of disputed amounts through lawful means.
13. Product Liability Limitation
Kai Bio Labs’ liability for any product claim is strictly limited to the purchase price of the specific product at issue. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use any product.
